Made contractions bearable. Buying this worked out slightly more expensive than hiring but we can now use it again should we have a second baby. In my opinion it made most of the contractions more bearable. In fact I used it all the way through my labour along with gas and air

Really helped during labour. I bought this for the birth of our daughter and it was money extremely well spent - really helped ease the contractions, as I felt it mainly in my back, I was almost sad to take it off to get into the birthing pool!

Effective and Affordable. Very happy with my tens machine. It's easy to use and the instructions are easy to follow. The clever strap makes it easy to wear around your neck so you won't lose it! Nice touch including the batteries too!

Elle TENS . Great little gadget, easy to use & great customer service.

Must Have for Latent Phase. Really recommend for the early stages of labour. Nice to have a boost button to feel you have some control.

No miracle but still a must-have :). I bought this a couple of days before our daughter's birtih. It's very easy to use (read the leaflet and give it a try before the big day!) and comes with a booklet with useful tips (massages...). You'll need someone to put the patches on your back for them to be at the right place. It is the only form of pain relief I used during the birth (with gas & air in the last phase), however it only lasted a couple of hours and so I don't know how it'd have gone if longer (probably epidural!). The machine is no miracle but it keeps you distracted and gives you the feeling you can "do something" about the pain.I haven't used it yet for anything else so cannot comment on the efficiency for pains, etc. But would buy again if needed!

Brilliant. I really found the Elle Tens Machine brillant. Used for more second pregnacy. Labour was 42 hrs and had this on for 90% of the time. Really help to take my mind off the contractions. Only advice I can give is to read the booklet and move your electrodes every couple of hours as you tend too get numb spots. Very easy to use. Test on your forearm before labour or test on your partners arm and have a good laugh.

Fantastic Product. Bought this for my wife to use during labour. Excellent product, good quality, nice design, straightforward to use. Will likely keep it after the birth for any muscle or back aches.

Worked Wonders!. Worked Wonders , Used this for my first pregnancy and it was fantasticeasy to use, good pain control, and used it almost to the very end of labour. I got through on just gas and air and the tensa god send!

useful machine for pregnancy. Elle TENS is easy to set up and use. Highly recommended. Helps to have the larger pads specifically for maternity that you won't get on some other machines. Also the boost button when you really need it!

Well worth the money. Elle TENS well worth the money , The TENS machine was really useful, particularly as I felt the contractions mostly in my back. I felt like I was in control of the pain relief. It was easy to use: my husband attached the electrodes to my back then it was really easy to increase/decrease the strength as and when needed and the boost function is great. Well worth the money to buy rather than rent as I'm now passing it onto friends.

Helped me through one of the most hardest moments!. The tens machine really helped me through each contraction. Having control and not relying on others to administer made a massive difference I felt like I could do it when I needed to. My only change would be to have two sets of pads so if you sweat break them you have at least a back up. But otherwise I'm Soo glad I bought this and now I'm wondering what else I can use it for!

Very helpful during back to back labour. I used this in January during a 40 hour back to back labour. It's very easy to use, It really helped me - I got out of the birth pool to use the TENS again, it provides better pain relief. Get those pads on as soon as your labour starts, I'm not saying it won't hurt, but this helps you struggle through.

Robust, easy to use. Used this in my recent second pregnancy. Hired one in the first but couldn't get one in time and thought it would be more cost effective to buy with a pregnant friend and go halves. Found it useful both labours in early labour. I also had paracetamol- exercise ball and gas and air. Robust easy to use and clean- definitely helped.

Best Purchase! . I truly believe the Elle tens got me through my labor experience in a calm and controlled way. It helped immensely to manage my pain and allowed me to achieve the birth I wanted.

Best item for labour!. From the minute I put it on when my surges started getting too strong for me to handle on my own…and right up until my baby was born. It was the absolute best, I didn’t require any other form of pain relief. It helped me achieve my birth intentions and the experience I wanted, which I hadn’t gotten with my first pregnancy. Definitely something I will recommend to anyone having a baby!

Labouring with the TENS . Loved it! I was able to progress in labour at home for a long time because of the TENS machine. Definitely would not have been able to do it without it

Ok but not great. The TENS in general is excellent - but I've found this version has too many buttons and it's easier for women to have a very simple version in labour.

Help me through 15 hours of labour. Definitely recommend Elle Tens.
Labour pain was immediately relieved when I used it. Easy to use as well.
Only recommendation I have is that I needed extra pads, as I tried to reallocate the pads and it damaged it. Luckily the hospital had them. So I would get extra pads just in case, something happens.

No regrets . This was a last-minute “just in case” purchase before I was induced with my second child. Luckily it arrived just in time. Used it throughout labour, it and the gas got me through without the need for epidural. Looking back, I wish I’d had this machine with my first child, it would have helped with the intense back pain I experienced during pre-labour / labour.

Amazing product . I used this product for my labour. I had an extremely long labour and this product definitely helped for the first 24 hours (out of 32 hour labour). In early stages of labour I definitely think this makes a difference to pain and it helps to focus on something else. As labour got more and more intense I found it less effective and I opted for an epidural. Definitely recommend for early stages of labour though!

No drugs needed. Elle tens Australia were brilliant, I decided at the 11th hour to buy a TENS machine after waiting 4 weeks to hire one and still the hire company did not have one available.

I bought one off the website at stupid o'clock at night then spent the whole rest of the night thinking that I should have bought the next model up just in case my already weakened pelvic floor needed help.
I sent several emails and was able to change my order and have it express posted.
I got the email to say it had been delivered and my waters broke, though I hadn't started contractions
I was able to collect the TENS, used it successfully for a 4 hr labour. The gas made me feel queasy so just used the TENS machine. I'm not going to say it didn't hurt but it definitely distracted me and it was something I had control of.
Definitely recommended.
